CoatQuote ships with US, 2026, installed national-average defaults so a contractor is calibrated on day one. Those defaults are benchmarked against the public contractor and cost-guide sources below, then handed to you as a starting point, not a fixed price.
All figures are US, 2026, installed national averages drawn from the sources on this page. They exist to seed a model, not to set your prices. Calibrate every number to your real material costs, crew production rates, and local market before you send a quote.

How these sources become the numbers in the tool.
We collect published installed-cost ranges and national averages across the sources above, take a defensible mid-2026 US national average for each system and prep tier, and load it as an editable default. The engine's job is the structure (coverage math, prep-tier resolution, and margin protection), not the price itself. Every figure is meant to be replaced with your real material costs, crew production rates, and regional multiplier before you send a quote.
